Hospice Care
Caring for those at the end of life requires great sensitivity and grace – the transition can be overwhelming for the patient and for the patient’s family alike. At D’Youville, hospice is where we realize our mission of compassionate care. Our sensitive, holistic approach to hospice care means that we pay close attention to all aspects – physical, emotional, and spiritual – of the needs of terminally ill patients and their families, providing comfort, understanding, and peaceful closure.
Our hospice care team is composed of nurses, social workers, case management staff, and our two Chaplains and other pastoral care providers, and we work closely with the Visiting Nurses Association of Greater Lowell and Merrimack Valley Hospice. Together, we provide spiritual support, pain control, and symptom management for our patients, as well as support and education for our patients’ families.
